The founder of Pre-Cut lumber, Lee Drain, is a 1995 Cum Laude graduate of forestry from Mississippi State University where he served as V.P. of Xi Sigma Pi, a national honor society of foresters.
Upon graduation he was registered in the states of Alabama and Mississippi as a forester. He worked for various timber companies and consulting foresters primarily cruising and marketing timber.
Around 1998 he started the business to primarily service the pallet industry with hardwood cut-stock.
Around 2002 the business started to consume a more readily available southern yellow pine.
The current day Pre-Cut Lumber has evolved to one of the largest producers of one inch boards in the Southeast. The primary focus of Pre-Cut lumber today is supplying appearance grade boards to the treating industry with its final destination to home-centers coast to coast.
Lee Drain is the proud father of three girls; Charley, Josey and Rylie Drain.
